New album by Enrique Morente. The vocals master from Granada pays tribute to Pablo Picasso as a writer.
Three pieces in which Morente recovers poems, texts and prose by the painter and adapts that to vocals and music. The painter’s memories from his birthplace, the smell of the pot, flavours from home and childhood memories that Morente transforms into drops of art, new sounds for our times.
"Pablo de Málaga" are thirteen tracks that draw a picture of the painter, thirteen flavours of the south. Thirteen vocal gifts, giving form to these unreleased texts. Unreleased are also the drawings that make up the cover art, a work of art in itself.
This album sees the light after several years of hard work and the help of Rafael Inglada, student of Picasso’s texts, which introduced Enrique Morente to the painter’s literature.
“I was drawn to the painter’s free and easy writing style, all the lines were written with love and grace, like any true Malagueño, remembering constantly the light, taste and smells of Malaga". Enrique Morente
