The first part of the DVD, entitled 'Café Cantante (hacia 1900)' (The Café Cantante (around 1900)) outlines the different stages in the development of Cafés Cantantes since they were first established. ['Cafés cantantes' were establishments serving drinks that staged performances of singing, playing and dancing, and were instrumental in divulging flamenco during their golden age in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.]
In 'Sentimiento y Línea', the protagonist is the bailaora (female flamenco dancer) Manuela Vargas, who performs mirabrás, petenera and mirabrás.
In the last section of the DVD, the bailaor (flamenco dancer) and choreographer Paco Romero offers viewers his versions of cantiñas, farruca and bulerías por soleá.
