An indispensable collection to learn, get to know and enjoy flamenco guitar playing, singing and dancing. A didactic description of the different palos (forms), the off-beat, palm clapping, measure, types of accompaniment, the speed of every dance... It is ideal for academies and for anyone who wants to study flamenco in their own house. It has 23 didactic volumes: 13 are normal and 10 are double; all of them are introduced by the bailaora (flamenco dancer) Cristina Hoyos.
This volume is devoted to the cantes (styles) of Málaga: verdiales, rondeñas and jabera. "The verdiales come from the Malagan olive-growing district. The lyrics are simple and happy and, musically speaking, they have a simple, monotonous rhythm that illustrates its primitive nature. We are dealing with a fandango that is suitable for dancing whose execution, which lacks desplantes (series of hard stepping movements that end, or climax, a series of steps) and compulsive movements, requires the participation of at least one couple".
