JORGE PARDO ” Best European Jazz musician”

Tribute was paid last February 6th to Spanish flutist and saxophonist, Jorge Pardo in a private ceremony at the French Institute in Madrid.
The reason for the event was the award for Best European Jazz Musician of 2012 , awarded by the French Academy of Jazz .
It is the first time a Spanish musician receives this recognition. The presentation of the awards by the Academy took place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris on January 15, 2013 .
Jorge Pardo received the award from Victoria Abril on behalf of the academy and was accompanied by award-winning artists as Emile Parisien, Brad and Aaron Diehl Mehldan among others.
This event was attended by representatives of the French Embassy in Madrid, as well as numerous personalities from the Literature, Flamenco and Jazz world.

Jorge Pardo is one of the most internationally recognized artists as well as one of the prime mover of FLAMENCO -JAZZ . He has worked with artists such as Camarón de la Isla , Paco de Lucia, Chick Corea, Tete Montoliu , Diego Carrasco , Pat Metheny, Chano Dominguez Pedro Iturralde or , among others.
